looking at his watch, George thought he had over slept and rushed out of f Mrs.Gipping s lodgings in the wee hours of the morning. Describe his strange experience.

One morning, George's watch stopped​ at 3 am.
He wake up and rushed to the bathroom to get ready for the work as he thought that it was 8:15 am.
He washed himself with cold water as there was not much time to wait for hot water. He, then went downstairs and was surprised to see that the breakfast was not ready. Even the door was not unlocked. He became angry on Mrs.Gippings for her reckless attitude.
Then, he somehow unbolted the door and went outside. He became surprise to see that none of the shops were open. There was nobody around except a policeman and a taxi. The policeman gave him a suspicious look. George asked him the time and he was sartled to find that it was 3 am. The policeman thought that he was drunk, thus he advised George to throw the watch and went straight to his respective house, he also followed him.
This was totally strange thing that had ever happened with George.
