“Lord of Tartary” is a poem by poet Walter De La Mare.
This poem is based on imagination of the poet.
The poet says about his daily routine as he woke up on a bed made of ivory as a king and his court will have peacocks and his swimming pools will have fish in the sun.
Then he imagines about the royal lunch.
And the good food will be served by waiters in the dining hall.
In the evening, red and yellow lamps would be shining with music all around.
In the night the stars of Tartary would look great and lakes would look purple colored which would be great.
