She invited 40 guests

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the total number of guests invited by Louisa,

Since, half of her guests were from the neighbourhood,

So the guests from neighborhood = \frac{x}{2}

Remaining guest =  x-\frac{x}{2}=\frac{2x-x}{2}=\frac{x}{2}

Again, the remaining half was her classmates,

Classmates = \frac{x/2}{2}=\frac{x}{4}

Remaining guests = \frac{x}{2}-\frac{x}{4}=\frac{2x-x}{4}=\frac{x}{4}

According to the question,

\frac{x}{4}=10

x=4\times 10

x=40

Hence, she invited 40 guests.
