Lower density of gases as compared to solids because in gases the gases are closely packed and distance between them is much larger than in solids.so density of gases is also low

Gases have a lower density compared to solids. Gases have a low density because the number of molecules per unit volume in a gas is very small as compared to solids and gases. Gases have large inter-molecule space between their molecules. Therefore, gases have a very low density.
