Answer:

let the profit be x then

profit%=x*100/17000=x/170

so

x/170=5

  • x=850

so the profit is 850 and selling price is 17850

that means himanshi paid 17850 for the music system

AnswEr :

  • Lubhanshi Bought Music System for Rs. 17,000
  • Sold it to Himansi at Profit of 5%.
  • Find the Amount Paid by Himansi.

we can see that, whatever Amount will be Paid by Himansi i.e. Cost Price ( CP ) for Himansi, but Selling Price ( SP ) for Lubhanshi. So Given Information's :

\bold{Given} \begin{cases}\sf{Cost \: Price (CP)=Rs. 17000} \\ \sf{Profit=5 \%}\\ \sf{Selling \:Price (SP)=?}\end{cases}

Let's Head to the Question Now :

\longrightarrow \tt SP = CP \times (100 + Profit)\% \\ \\\longrightarrow \tt SP = 17000 \times (100 + 5)\% \\ \\ \longrightarrow \tt SP = 17000 \times 105\% \\ \\\longrightarrow \tt SP = 170 \cancel{00} \times \dfrac{105}{ \cancel{100}} \\ \\\longrightarrow \tt SP = 170 \times 105 \\ \\\longrightarrow \large \boxed{\tt SP =Rs. \:17850}

Himansi will pay Rs. 17850 to lubhanshi
