hiii friend lungs means The lungs are a pair of spongy, air-filled organs located on either side of the chest (thorax). The trachea (windpipe) conducts inhaled air into the lungs through its tubular branches, called bronchi. The bronchi then divide into smaller and smaller branches (bronchioles), finally becoming microscopic.

• Humans have two lungs situated on either side of thorax.
• They are spongy, air-filled organs (air comes through trachea).
• Right lung is little higher than the left one.
• Each lung is anatomically divided into lobes and segments.
• There are 3 lobes in right lung and 2 lobes in left lung.
• Each lung is covered by pleura and rib cage.
• Lung is site for gas exchange and oxygenation of blood.
