The lymph fluid is at times referred to as the lymphatic fluid. The lymphatic fluid is a fluid that is contained in the lymphatic system. It transports infection white blood cells and other immunological cells around the body.

The lymph fluid or lymphatic fluid helps in fighting of pathogens that find their way into the body system. The lymphatic system fights of pathogens and toxins using the immunological cells transported by this lymph fluid. 

The lymphatic system is a network of lymphatic vessels, organs and lymph nodes. It forms part of the circulatory system and the immunological system.

Lymph is derived from the intestinal fluid. It is similar to the blood plasma, however it does not contain any red blood cells in it. The fluid of lymph is called the lymphatic fluid.
