They are known as suicidal bags because after digestion of the foreign substance they destroy themselves. As a precaution that the infection or the foreign substance doesn't spread anymore in nearby cells

lysosomes are organelles found in cells.they contain hydrolytic enzymes within themselves.they are known as suicide bags because they release the enzymes within the cell in which they are present and hence autolysis which is the self destruction of a cell occurs
