hi friend lysosomes are called suicide bags of the cells because when a cell is about to die then these digest the whole cell Thats why these are called suicide bags of the cell.

LYSOSOMES:
Lysosomes are usually found in animal cells. They are spherucal and sac like vesciles bound by a single membrane.They contain several digestive enzymes which when released bring about break down of several cytoplasmic structures. sometimes they may help in auto digestion of the cell in which they are present. Therefore they are called suicidal bags of the cell.
FUNCTIONS:
(I) protects the body from virus and bacteria.
(ii) removes and destroy old and worn out cell organelles.
