Question 1) :- the area of a square park is the same as that a rectangular park if the side of the square park is 60 m and the length of the rectangular park is 90 m find the breadth of the rectangular park ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Area of square = (side)²
  • Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth .

so,

→ Area of rectangle = Area of square

→ L * B = (side)²

→ 90 * B = (60)²

→ 90 * B = 3600

→ B = 40 m . (Ans.)

Hence, the breadth of the rectangular park is 40 m.

Question 2) :- What should be taken away from 3x² – 4y² + 5xy + 20 to obtain :- x² - y² + 6xy + 20 ?

Solution :-

→ (3x² - 4y² + 5xy + 20) - (x² - y² + 6xy + 20)

→ 3x² - x² - 4y² + y² + 5xy - 6xy + 20 - 20

(2x² - 3y² - xy) (Ans.)
