Ma'am I had a doubt that,

Loss of e- is termed as oxidation.
And gain of oxygen is termed as oxidation.

But when O²- is added to a substance it gain e- so it should be reduction?​

that's true that loss of e- is termed as oxidation and gain of oxygen is also termed as oxidation

but when oxygen is added to any atom it takes the electrons of that atom and make it positive charged hence the there is loss of electrons which means oxidation not reduction
