Answer:

maddie is incorrect

given ratio 4:5

assumption:10:8

4/5=10/8

32=50

which is impossible

so the assumption is wrong and maddie is incorrect

Maddie is wrong, (10, 8) is not a point on the graph.

  • When comparing the ratio value of two sets if the result is the same then that is known as an equivalent ratio.
  • When simplifying two values if it will give the same value after simplification then that two ratios are equivalent ratios.
  • Here, the first point is 4:5, and the second is  10: 8.
  • \frac{4}{5} = .8
  • \frac{10}{8} = 1.25.
  • So the values are not an equivalent ratio.
