Answer:

Let the age of Madhav's father be x

Then, Madhav's age will be x-29

Then Madhav's grandfathers age will be x+26

So

ATQ

x+x+x-26+29=135

3x+3=135

3x=135-3

3x=132

x=132/3

x=34

Given:

  • Madhav’s father is 26 years younger than Madhav’s grandfather and 29 years older than Madhav.
  • The sum of the ages of all the three is 135 years

To Find:

  • Their Present ages.

Solution:

Let madhav's father age be x

Madhav's age = (x + 29)

Madhav's grandfather age = (x + 29 + 26)

According to the Question,

Sum of their ages = 135 years

⇒ x + (x + 29) + (x + 55) = 135

⇒ 3x + 84 = 135

⇒ 3x = 135 - 84

⇒ 3x = 51

⇒ x = 51/3

⇒ x = 17 years

Hence,

  • Madhav's father age = 17 years
  • Madhav's age = 17 + 29 = 46 years
  • His grandfather's age = 55 years
