Previous month = August
Number of days in August = 31 days

Duration of driving course = 14 days
Days involved of September month = 3 days

Add September days and the total days in August
= 31+3
=34

Now, subtract the duration of the course = 34-14
=20

Adding one day extra because the course was completed on 3rd September. So 20+1=21.



So,the course was started on 21st August.
