The poles of the two magnets facing each other are North pole.

  • Magnetic lines are always emerged from the North pole.
  • Magnetic lines always end on the South pole.
  • In the figure given in question , lines are emerging from the poles and they are not closed or intersecting . Thus, the poles are North poles.
