when object is placed between centre of curvature(C) and focus(F), then it will produce image of magnification -3.

see in a concave mirror , magnified image forms only at 3 position
but one is virtual and its magnification will be positive
which is between pole and focus
secondly the position is focus but here image will form at infinity and highly large than object
so there is only one position which is between C and F
where we get inverted but magnified image so this is the right answer
