Magnification produced by a convex mirror is 1/n. If focal length is f,find the object distance in terms of curvature r.

According to mirror formula, object distance = f(n-1).

In terms of the radius of curvature, we can write Object Distance = R/2 (n-1).

Image distance = (R/2n)(n-1).

Convex mirrors produce images that are virtual, diminished and erect.

Therefore image distance is negative.

The focal length of the mirror is also negative by convention.
