अस्ति मगधदेशे फुल्लोत्पतनाम एक स२ । तत्र द्वो हंसो निवसतः स्म । तयो नाम
सङ्कटविकटी आस्ताम् । कम्बुग्रीव नामक एक कच्छपः अपि तत्रैव प्रतिवसति स्म ।
तेषां मध्ये प्रगाढा मैत्री आसीत् । एकदा केचन धीवराः तत्र आगतवन्तः ते अकथयन्
"वयं श्वः मत्स्यकूर्मादीन मारिष्यामः ।” एतत् श्रुत्वा कच्छपः अकथयत्
"मित्रे!
कि युवाभ्यां धीवराणां वार्ता श्रुता ? सम्प्रति किं कर्तव्यम्?" english translation

In Magadh there was a pond named Fullotpat. In that pond, there lived two swans named Sankat and vikat. There was also a turtle named Kambugriv. They(swans and the turtle) had a very deep friendship. Some day, two fishermen visited the pond and said " we will kill all the fishes and turtles tomorrow "

After listening the fishermen's conversation, he said this to his friends " Hey friends! Did you listen to the conversation of the fishermen? What shall we do now?"
