Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was a popular social reformer who fought against social discrimination of schedule castes. He fought for those who were called untouchables by the society at large.

On the other hand, Mahatma Gandhi too fought not just for the freedom of his country, India, but also took up causes for the rights of socially downtrodden
