1. The policy of annexation by the Britishers created the turmoil among the Indian rulers.Specially among those rulers whose territories were annexed .
2. The doctrine of Lapse added to the resentment of Indian rulers as they were loosing their power all this created fear among the other rulers also .
3. The Subsidiary alliance which is their for the protection of state from outside powers.This also displease the local rulers.
