Personal hygiene involves the individual hygiene like cleaning hands and proper bathing while public hygiene involves the cleanliness kept by the public as whole and it involves the measurements an individual cannot take alone. Both are necessary for the prevention and control of infectious diseases and for maintain proper health. For example; you can prevent mosquito outbreaks in your areas by removing the stagnant water reserves which serve as breeding sites for them.
