Ringworm also known as Dermatophytosis or Tinea is the skin infection caused by fungal pathogens. They can affect both humans and animals. Most common genera that cause the ringworm in humans are Trichophyton, Epidermophyton and Microsporum. There are several ringworms affecting different areas of human body. Some of them are Tinea corporis affects skin, Tinea capitis affects scalp, Tinea pedis affects feet, Tinea cruris affects groin region.
