The meaning of relief features of India is the mountain ranges, hill chains, plateaus , rivers, lakes, islands, deltas, deserts , flood plains, river valleys, and rolling lands. All these geographical features are spread over India. The geography of India is constituted by these relief features. The Himalayas, Vindhyas, Satpuras, Westernghats, Easternghats, Aravalis and Sahyadris form the highest points of Indian geography. The river systems and lakes form the lowest points in India. The ice caps and desert patches are other features of India geography. The forests, mangrooves, plnatations, grass lands and moss covered areas are boitic areas of India. The various ecosystems of India are developed due to variation in relief of different areas. The Monsoon and reverse Monsoon also play their roles with the variation of relief of different places. The seasonal winds of the year are also affected by various relief features. The agriculture and livelihood is also affected by various relief features of India. The civilisation is developed based on geography and climate of various parts of India. The cultural development in India also took place due to variation in geographical features .
