A book on philosophy that is written by Auguste Comte where he develops an idea of the law of the three stages, it is being said that when it comes to society as a whole there are three stages which are mentally conceived.

They are known as

(1) The metaphysical stage,

(2) The theological stage and

(3) the positive stage.
