an estuary is a body of water while a delta is a landmass estuaries are places where the river meets the ocean.deltas are formed by the accumulation of the sediments done by the rivers.

DELTA:-

* A delta is formed by the river when it is about to enter the seas.
* Roughly in triangular shape.
* Deltic regions are highly fertile because of the sediment deposition.
* Agricultural activities are practised

Eg:- Ganga,Indus,Godavari,Mahanadi forms delta.

ESTUARY:-

* When the river directly enters the sea it forms estuary.
* Funnel shaped land.
* Region near estuary are not fertile.
* This areas are good for fishing activities.

Eg:- Narmada and Tapi fos estuary.
