Samudargupta was a great ruler of India from a Gupta dynasty .we know about him from the Sanskrit poem composed by his court poet Harisena .the poem inscribed at an Asoka pillar at Allahabad .he was  as a great warrior and he fought many battles .Harshwardhana was also known as Harsha who ruled around north India from Narmada river in Central India to north India.

• Samudargupta was from the late 4th century and he belongs to gupta dynasty 370 /380 CE.

Harshwardhana :

• Harshwardhana was a very noble person in the history of India
• he was the king of 7th century 606to 647CE
• HE belongs to vardhana dynasty .
• the Chinese traveler xauanzang mentioned empire as shiladitya who had been claimed to be harsha.
