Since most of the companies do not follow the statutory regulations of the WHO and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), it might lead to hazardous health conditions of the workers who work every day in electroplating companies and use harmful chemicals beyond limits.

Most of the electroplating companies use chemicals like chromic acid, nickel, acid powders, cyanides, alkalis, etc. which are very harmful to humans and are mostly carcinogens. Frequent exposure to these chemicals and spills or splashes may cause cancer, respiratory irritation, sensitisation, severe burns, ulcers, serious eye damage, damage to the kidney and nasal septum, contact dermatitis, and many other ailments.

Therefore, it is better to take proper steps to avoid any such health issues. The workers need to wear properly covered clothing, gloves and eye-goggles, and use equipment by which they can have less direct exposure to the chemicals. There should be a lot of ventilation and first-aid facilities within hand's reach. The workers should avoid consumption of food, smoking or alcohol near the chemicals to avoid any unnecessary blasts. The wastes should  be disposed off properly and not contaminate the environment.
