Education has great importance in the development of a country. But unfortunately, its importance is yet to be realized in developing countries like Nepal. For over two decades, Nepal has been working to uplift educational standard by providing quality higher education to their citizens but there are many obstacles and hurdles that are emerging (Bhusal, 2011). These challenges are quality education, equity and equality, allocation of finance, utilization of ICT in education, employment, monitoring and supervision, good governance and accountability, teacher morale, curriculum and learning materials, trained teachers etc. are describe below.

Quality Education: Education for all cannot be achieved without improving the quality. Many indicators reflect quality of education including investment of the government on education, teachers‟ qualification; teacher-student ratio, test scores and duration pupils remain in the school. However, there are many ways of improving the quality of education but they are either hidden or ignored by the government (UNESCO, 2004). quality education focuses on equity and diversity. However, there is a long way to go before everybody has access to qualitative universal education (Carm, 2013).
