the reason was that the britishers won't accept india became super power in Asia continent after getting independence and definitely india was a huge country concluding bangladesh and pakistan as india's geographical extends, india was a huge country by various things like it's geographical diversity from east west north south, it's cultural diversity, languages, religions etc, and then britishers started there separating strategy by proposing communalism in india..that is why today india is divided into many parts like forward classes backward classes hindu muslim sikh christian etc etc etc...
