The  micro-organism Virus is a being made of protein that infects not just humans, but other animals and plants as well. These Viruses use the host(human/animal/plant) to generate more of their kind. These Viruses usually don't cross-infect, i.e. plant viruses don't infect animals and vice versa.

A Computer virus on the other hand, is a piece of software, that will cause malfunctions or issues on your machine (be it a PC, or laptop or phone).
This kind of Virus is usually targeted for a specific operating system. i.e. this virus also does not cross-infect. A virus for Windows cannot do anything on a Linux machine.

The difference to note here is: One is a living(?) organism, and the other is just software.

The term is used for computers because some computer viruses do in fact act like the micro-organism. Use the host(PC/laptop/mobile etc) to create copies of itself and forward itself to other people..

For example, just like you can get a cold by contact with a cold patient(Yes, common cold is caused by the Rhinovirus, a virus), a USB device connected to a virus-laden PC can infect another PC upon connection if not scanned using anti-virus.
