Explanation:

A study was done from a period spanning two decades was done considering three main pollutants  (SO2,  NO2,  and  PM)  to find  the trend of air pollution in Delhi. From the trends it was easily seen that the concentration of NO2 and PM10 are far exceeding than prescribed  standard  limits.  The concentration of  SO2  is  within  the  standard limits but is in alarming state.

Trend is towards the increasing side which is because of the fact that traffic and population in Delhi is increasing over time while the measure to control that are not so sufficient
