Hi,

Here is your answer

Given:

Mass of man=75kg

Area of shoes=0.02m²

To Find:

Pressure

a)If both feet are on the ground

b)If only one feet is on the ground

Solution:

Force exerted by man=mass×acceleration

Here accelerationn is taken as acceleration due to gravity(g)=9.8m/s²

Hence

Force=75×9.8=735N

Pressure is given by the equation

Pressure=Force/Area

a)

When both feet are on the ground, pressure exerted

Pressure=735/2×0.02=18375 Pa

b)

When only one foot is on the ground,pressure exerted

Pressure=735/0.02=36750 Pa

Notes:

1. Pressure is directly proportional to force applied and inversely proportional to area.

2. The unit of pressure is Pa or N/m²

Hope this helps you.
