During the mid twentieth century, the Greek Philosopher, Ludwig Feuerbach, stated that "man is what he eats". It is true that man eats his own interpretation because whatever one eats is transformed into their own flesh and blood. But if we look into the deeper meaning of the saying, we would find that Feuerbach was a thoroughgoing materialist who thought that we are just flesh and blood and bones and nothing else. So, there are two aspects to the saying – Physical and Spiritual.

Physically, it implies that if a person wants to be healthy and happy, he/she must eat a balanced diet. Nutrition plays an important role in our physical being.
