i.e. length(l)=16 cm,  breadth(b)=12 cm,  height(h)=9 cm

To find : Area of the paper required to wrap the box.

Solution :

Area of the paper required to cover the box= Total surface area of the box

Total surface area of the box = 2(length×breadth+breadth×height+height×length)

Area required=2(lb+bh+hl)

                          =2(16×12+12×9+9×16)

                           =2(192+108+144)

                           = 2(444)

   Area required= 888 square cm
