Manu is younger than Mrudula by 4 years . before 4years Mrudulas age was 1 1/2 times the age of Manu. Find their present age.

Let, Manu present age be $x$.
and, Mradula present age be $x+4$.

4 years ago,

Manu is $(x-4)$.
Mradula is $(x+4-4)=x$.
Mradula's age was $1 \frac{1}{2}$, which is equal to $\frac{3}{2}$, times the age of Manu.

               By the Question,     

$x= \frac{3(x-4)}{2}$

⇒   $2x=3(x-4)$
⇒   $2x=3x-12$
⇒   $3x-2x=12$
⇒   $x=12$

∴  Manu's age is $x = 12$ years.
    Mradula's age is $(x+4)=12+4$ $=16$ years
