Answer:

After the wars of Simon Bolivar and his men with Spain, Many Latin American countries gained independence from The Spanish and Portuguese empires respectively. In the beginning the countries stayed unified under the banner of Gran Colombia but things deteriorated after the death of Simon Bolivar and would eventually lead to splitting and destruction of any real sense of unity. The following are some of the factors for these disputes:-

1)Lack of foreign support and other European Empires lead to a lack of complete recognition and a weak economy despite having very rich resources, Many nations resorted to fighting each other and loot the other for resources. The Spanish had also failed to develop any real infrastructure so many resources were just wasted.

2)Foreign intervention and wars during the Cold War Era also lead to complete anarchy as both The CIA from The United States and Fidel Castro's Cuba and Che Guevara fought to gain ideological control. Corporations called Banana Corporations also heavily exploited the lands by forcing nations to fight for any economic aid.

Explanation:

A total lack of unity and very low incentive to stay united provided a major reason for conflicts. Foreign intervention also played a major negative role in the history of the Latin states.
