Many people in the United States will say that they have rights, however, the majority of those people do not know what those rights are. Pick three rights guaranteed to you by the Bill of Rights and explain how they effect your life.

1. The First Amendment: This is the freedom of speech, without the freedom of speech we could not share our ideas or even ask for simple things! This is a very important amendment.

2. The Fourth Amendment: This states they have no right to search your house without purpose. This is important because many of us have private things that are not illegal, but would not want to share.

3. The Tenth Amendment: The goverment only has powers listed in the constitution. If the goverment had to much power they would most likely raised taxes a lot and do things for there own gain. This would be a major issue in America.

  • 2) Freedom of Speech, Press, Petition, and Assembly
  • This right allows an individual to speak or gain knowledge or information from any source he or she feels like.
  • Although this right is is a very important one it does have some limits too.
  • 3)Right to vote
  • This right allows an individual above the age of 18 to vote and choose the representative he or she wants to.
  • This right disregards any discrimination on the basis of race color or cast.
