खरच आपण सगळे भाग्यवान आहोत कारण मराठी आपली मातृभाषा आहे.मराठी ही भाषा खूपच गोड आणि सुंदर आहे. मराठी माणसाची खासियत अशी की तो हिन्दी संस्कृत या भाषा सहज आणि

सोप्या रीतीने समजू बोलू शकतो.तसेच इंग्रजी बोलणे ही त्याला सोपे जाते कारण मराठी भाषा ही या भाषांमधूनच विकसित केली गेली आहे. मराठी भाषा ही महाराष्ट्राची मायबोली आहे .तसेच तिचे विभाजन ही तेथील प्रदेशानुसार केले गेले आहे.त्यात विदर्भाची भाषा ,कोकणी,मालवणी अश्या मराठी पूरक भाषांचा समावेश आहे.मराठी भाषेचा इतिहास खूप जुना आहे. १३ व्या शतकातील महान वारकरी संत ज्ञानेश्वर यांनी भगवद्गीतेवर मराठीत “ज्ञानेश्वरी” ग्रंथ लिहिला. त्यांचे समकालीन, संत नामदेव यांनी मराठीत तसेच  हिंदी भाषेत श्लोक, अभंग लिहिले. मुकुंदराज हे १३ व्या शतकातील प्रसिद्ध कवी होते,त्यांनी “विवेक-सिद्धी” आणि “परममित्र ” ग्रंथ लिहिले जे पौराणिक वेदांताशी संबंधित आहेत. १६ व्या शतकात संतकवी एकनाथ यांनी “एकनाथी भागवत” लिहिले जे भागवत पुराणावरील भाष्य आहे. तसेच संत एकनाथांनी भारुडे सुद्धा लिहिले जी आजच्या काळातही प्रसिद्ध आहेत. संत तुकाराम महाराज यांनी मराठी एक समृद्ध साहित्यिक भाषा बनविली. संत तुकाराम यांनी सुमारे ३००० अभंग लिहिले. आज मराठी ज्या रूपात जिवंत आहे ती फक्त छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज यांच्यामुळे, त्यांच्या काळात मराठीला खरे महत्व प्राप्त झाले. शासकीय कामकाज आणि बोली भाषा म्हणून मराठीचा विस्तार झाला. मराठी भाषेवरील पर्शिअन भाषेचा प्रभाव या काळातच कमी झाला. जसा जसा मराठी साम्राज्याचा विस्तार झाला तसा मराठीचा ही विस्तार झाला. या काळात मराठी ही मोडी लिपीत लिहली जात असे. ९व्या शतकाच्या उत्तरार्धात निबंधकार विष्णुशास्त्री चिपळूणकर यांनी आपले नियतकालिक सुरु केले. ज्योतिबा फुले आणि गोपाळ हरी देशमुख यांनी “दिनबंधू” आणि “प्रभाकर” नियतकालिकांची सुरुवात केली. २०व्या शतकात मराठी भाषेने पुढचा टप्पा गाठला.

परंतु हल्लीच्या जमान्यात आपले अनेक संवाद हे जागतिक स्तरावर होत असल्या कारणाने लोक इग्रजीचा वापर फार करत चालले आहेत .मात्र मराठी माणसाने आपल्या मातृभाषेला अभिजात भाषेचा दर्जा मिळवा या करता परिश्रम करणे सुरू केले आहे. आणि आता तर गूगल सारख्या नामवंत कंपनीला  ही मराठी भाषेचे महत्त्व समजले आहे.

Marathi is a beautiful language spoken mainly in Maharashtra and to a lesser extent in Goa. Marathi is one of the official languages(22 languages) ​​of India. Marathi is the fourth most spoken language in India. The main dialects of Marathi are Varhadi, Koli, Malvani, and Konkani.

• 1187 C.E. later, during the Yadav period, the use of the Marathi language increased. Yadav kings used to use Kannada and Sanskrit languages. By the end of the 14th century, Marathi had become the dominant language of the alphabet. During the last three kingdoms of the Yadav dynasty, Marathi literature on astrology, Ayurveda, Purana, and Vedanta were created in the form of prose and poetry.
• The form in which Marathi is alive today is only due to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, during his time Marathi got real importance. Marathi as an official language and dialect was expanded. The influence of the Persian language on the Marathi language diminished during this period. As the Marathi Empire expanded, so did Marathi.

• Since the introduction of the English medium education system for many years, the importance of Marathi medium education seems to have diminished. Children should be encouraged to read Marathi literature, poems, plays, travelogues, essays, and short essays like "Dnyaneshwari". "Pasayadan" by Saint Dnyaneshwar and "Manache Shlok" by Saint Ramdasswami.

• Conclusion: The Marathi language has existed for 2000 years, and it should get the status of an elite language. In the changing times, English should also be learned, and Hindi should also be spoken, but the sweetness that is in Marathi is not in anything. That is why efforts are being made to give Marathi the status of an elite language.  We have to keep in mind that respect and love are mutual, that is, they have to be on both sides. If we want to earn respect and love for Marathi in India and the world, we must respect other languages ​​too.
