Given :  Marius and his dad built in the shape of triangular prism open on the top and bottom.

To Find : How many square inches of canvas did Marius and his dad use to make the lamp

Solution:

Open at top  and bottom

Hence canvas   used to make the lamp  = Surface area of rectangles

Each rectangle is of size  18  inches x  22 inches

Total Area of canvas required = 3 * 18 * 22
