1). A secular state is an idea pertaining to secularity, whereby a state is or purports to be officially neutral in matters of religion, supporting neither religion nor irreligion.

2). Although the term secular was not included anywhere in the constitution, as it was originally adopted on November 26, 1949, the founding fathers of the constitution were clear in their mind as to what they meant by secularism.

3). ndia constitution allows individuals the freedom to live by their religious beliefs and practice as they interpets in keeping this idea of religious freedom for all India also adopted a strategy of separating the power of religion and the power of state.
