M.P=R.s 800

Discount=12%

discount =  \frac{12}{100}  \times 800 \\  = 12 \times 8 \\  = 96

Given : Marked Price of an article is Rs.800,

rate of discount is 12%.

To Find :  the selling price

Solution:

Marked price MP  = Rs 800

Discount = 12 %

Discount = (12/100) 800 = Rs 96

Selling Price SP  = MP - Discount

=> SP  = 800 - 96

=> SP = Rs 704

Hence Selling Price is Rs 704

Addition Info

CP = Cost Price

if SP > CP

SP - CP = Profit

if SP < CP

then CP - SP = Loss
