Answer :-

a)

Mary's age next year = x + 1

Three times Mary's age next year = 3(x + 1)

Algebraic expression = 3x + 3

b)

Mary's age 6 years ago = x - 6

Five times Mary's age 6 years ago = 5(x - 6)

Algebraic expression = 5x - 30

c)

Mary's aunt is 27 years older than her. So,

Mary's aunt age = Mary's age + 27

We are given that, Mary's age is x

Hence, Mary's aunt age = x + 27

Algebraic expression = x + 27

d)

Mary's neice age when she is younger 17 years younger than her = Mary's age - 17

= x - 17

Algebraic expression = x - 17
