At St Mary’s we believe that every child is full of potential. We want each of them to develop learning skills that will enable them to become lifelong learners. It is estimated that 2/3 of our children that we teach today will be doing jobs that do not exist yet. For this reason we believe it is the skills of how to learn that are the most important. We seek children to develop a Growth Mindset which values perseverance, rather than a Fixed Mindset which concentrates on ability. We have seven Learning Skills that help us to develop this Growth Mindset these are: Bravery, Cooperation, Curiosity, Imagination, Logic, Memory and Stamina
