Mass human sacrifice was a ritual performed to please the Gods by the Mayan, Iroquois, Incan and Aztec groups in pre-Columbian America. In most cases, the victims were either enslaved soldiers or children. The sacrifice of enslaved soldiers was often done by either mutilating them or torturing them till them till it ended in their death. The reason why children were chosen for the sacrifice was because of their innocence.
