Mass number of an element is 18 it contains 7 electrons if it is an atom find the number of protons and neutrons in it

no of protons and neutrons will be egual. some the mass no is 18 the atomic no of the element will 9, which is the no for fluorine with charge -1. this means that there is one extra electron therefore no of protins and neutrons =6
