The pull of Gravity varies across the Universe,so your weight (your mass in presence of gravity) will vary depending upon where you are.

The moon’s gravitational force is only about 16.6% of Earth’s gravity.

Hence to find your weight on moon, multiply your weight by 0.16.

40 x 0.16=6.4kg

Thus it would weigh only 6.4 kgs.

mass doesn't change so the mass of the boy will be 40kg on moon same as the earth .
