A Mass is suspended from the roof of a car by a string while the car has a constant acceleration.   Let the acceleration of the car = a    Horizontal force on mass = ma    Vertical force on the mass = mg   The string makes an angle of 60° with the vertical.   Thus tan 60° = mg/ma   => √3 = g/a   => a = g/√3 = 10/√3 m/s^2   Acceleration of car is 10/√3 m/s^2
