Solution :

Given :

▪ Mass of water = 36g

To Find :

▪ Mass of hydrogen atoms present in given amount of water.

Concept :

☞ First we have to calculate no. of moles of water afterthat we can calculate mass of hydrogen atoms.

☞ No. of moles is defined as the ratio of weight of compound to the molecular weight of compound.

☞ Atomic weight of H = 1g/mol

☞ Atomic weight of O = 16g/mol

☞ Molecular weight of water = 18g/mol

→ Mathematically,

\boxed{\bf{\pink{n=\dfrac{weight}{molecular\:weight}}}}

Calculation :

\implies\sf\:n=\dfrac{36}{18}\\ \\ \implies\bf\:n=2\\ \\ \implies\sf\:No.\:of\:moles\:of\:H=2\times 2=4\\ \\ \implies\sf\:weight\:of\:H\:atom=moles\times\:atomic\:weight\\ \\ \implies\boxed{\bf{\purple{Mass\:of\:H\:atom=4\:g}}}
