Mary II  - ascended the English throne as a joint monarch after accepting the Bill of Rights

Oliver Cromwell - conquered Ireland and established the Commonwealth

Charles I  - lost a long Civil War against forces loyal to Parliament.

Charles II - was crowned king after a period of commonwealth rule in England

James II - appointed Catholics as government officials and recruited them in the army

Explanation:

  • The Charter of Rights, that dramatically restricted royal authority & "broadened constitutional law", gave Parliament the "power of finance & the army" and established the "royal succession" in future, claiming which no Roman Catholic ever will be supreme over England. It was also claimed  that "Englishmen" had some inviolable "civil & political rights", which was a great impact on the formation of the United States. Nearly  a century later, Bill of Rights written. Mary, the king's daughter, and William von Orange, her husband, were declared traditional "British sovereigns" under the new British Bill of Rights following the bloodless Glorious Revolution of England.
  • Cromwell led the English army invasion in 1649, & then in 1650 with Scotland. This ended with a "parliamentary victory" in the Worcester Battle on 3 September 1651 & with the creation of the English, Scottish & Irish Commonwealth. In 1650, the "Lord General of the Parliamentary" armed forces  designated Cromwell to be efficient Commander in Chief.
  • Charles I was believed to have lost England's throne in a civil war. Charles, in contrast to the desires of Parliament, wed the French Catholic. Without the approval of Parliament, Charles resurrected old taxes & laws. In 1629 he expelled them when the "Parliament" objected. Charles ruled without a House till 1640, which was also called the 'Eleven Years Dictatorship' era. After Charles had tried the 5 Parliament leaders  & failed to apprehend them, a civil war erupted. In 1646, Charles gave way. In the 2nd Civil War in the year 1648, he struggled to overthrow Parliament again. Parliament brought him to trial for fraud and in 1649 he was executed.
  • From 6th February 1685 till he was laid to rest in the glorious Revolution of 1688, "James II" was "King of England & Ireland", as "James II & King of Scotland", as James VII .. His rule is today remembered mainly for fighting religious equality, as the last Christian royal monarch,, England, Scotland & Ireland. Nevertheless, it also included the biblical ideals & the "right of the divine" rulers, & its deposition brought to an end a century of civil & political war by affirming Parliament's primacy over the Monarchy.
