to find the area of a square we need to multiply the sides. S*S

 {s}^{2}

diagnol is 30cm

square angle is 90° , so we can find the side by applying puthogoreus theorm.

the sum of square of the sides is equal to the square of the diagnol.

 {s}^{2}   + {s}^{2}  =  {d}^{2}

s= side
d= diagnol

 {2s}^{2}  =  {30}^{2}

 {2s}^{2} = 900

 {s}^{2}  = 450

s =  \sqrt{450}

 =  \sqrt{9}  \times  \sqrt{50}
 = 3 \sqrt{50}

this is the side

area

3 \sqrt{50}  \times 3 \sqrt{50}


9 \times 50

450 {cm}^{2}
